This book is starting to get intense! Turns out Liesel became a book thief due to being distraught at her brother's death. She needed some way to cling to him & therefore took the first thing she could find at the cemetery, "The Gravedigger's Handbook". Since then, she has stolen two more books, one from a Nazi book burning and another from the mayor. Liesel steals for a very specific reason every time and, in her situation, I totally understand why she does it; I look forward to seeing what happens next.
